The Washington State Health Department wanted a campaign to curb smoking statewide, so we decided to focus on where the problem starts: with teenagers who start smoking young and never quick. Statistics told us that 1 out of 3 teens who start smoking will eventually die from smoking related diseases, so we built a campaign around that number.
